But we’re not walking this path alone.
Sustainable viticulture requires more than just good intentions.
It needs people who support it.
Wineries that practice the same level of care.
And independent organizations that verify whether our work lives up to its promises.
That’s why we don’t work just for ourselves.
Instead, we work with people and organizations that put responsibility into action.
Our 19 hectares of vineyards are located across four municipalities. They are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods. We began the transition in 2007, long before organic wine became a trend.
Today, together with Cave Chevalier Bayard and Cave Biber, we cultivate approximately 30 hectares of organically farmed vineyards. Together, we are a major producer of organic grapes in the region. Our 19 hectares are part of this shared area.
For us, partnership isn’t just a name—it’s reflected in the work we share among the vines.
Those who practice organic farming shouldn’t just say so.
That’s why our vines are inspected and certified annually by Bio Inspecta (CH-BIO-006). Some of our wines also carry this certification.
This same philosophy also shapes how we view change. Our collaboration with Marie-Thérèse Chappaz and other organic pioneers gave rise to the Orientation Bio group. Olivier Mounir was part of the steering committee. This also led to the creation of the Valais wine brand: not as a quick change, but as a guided, step-by-step transformation toward greater trust in organic farming.
They demonstrate that our approach is not merely claimed, but verified.
Some things grow in the vineyard.
Others grow through exchange.
That’s why we’re part of Mémoire des Vins Suisses. The association aims to showcase the aging potential of high-quality Swiss wines. It currently includes 59 wine producers from across Switzerland and 33 wine experts from Switzerland and abroad.
For us, this is more than just a membership.
It’s part of a conversation about what Swiss wine is capable of.
Today and as the years go by.
Our journey doesn’t end at the cellar door.
In 2012, our winery became an official partner of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. To qualify, we had to demonstrate sustainability, product quality, and service quality. Wines made from grapes grown entirely within the park’s boundaries bear the Swiss Nature Parks label. Our certified AOC organic wines are among them.
We’ve also had deep roots in Salgesch for a long time. Our winery was one of the leading initiators of Switzerland’s first Grand Cru concept in 1988. This gave rise to today’s Weindorf Salgesch Association, which raises the profile of the village and its key contributors and helps organize events. In 2019, the association won the Swiss Wine Tourism Award.
This is how we understand origin.
Not as a backdrop.
But as a responsibility toward a place.

Some work alongside us.

Still others strengthen our connection to the region, quality, and development.
